1.School Spotlight & Autumn 2026

Please briefly introduce your school and share one exciting project, club, event, initiative or campus update launching this autumn.

The French School in Belgrade was founded in 1951 and has been part of the AEFE network of French schools abroad since 1986. Today, the school welcomes 512 students of different nationalities from maternelle to the baccalauréat at our campus in Senjak. Every student learns four languages, while the lycée offers a European section and the American Section of the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI). The autumn term got off to an active start with the celebration of French National Sports Day.

2.Student Voice & Community

Can you share a student-led initiative, club, tradition or part of everyday school life that reflects the spirit of your student community?

Each school year, our students take an active role in shaping school life through a series of student elections. Class representatives, eco-delegates, and members of the CVL and CVC are elected by their peers and go on to contribute to school initiatives throughout the year. From improving school climate and promoting sustainability to raising important issues and organising activities, these student-led bodies give pupils a real voice in the life of the school and encourage them to take responsibility for their community.

3.Future Skills & Beyond Academics

How does your school empower students to become leaders, creators and global thinkers beyond the classroom?

We encourage students to become independent, curious and open-minded from an early age. Our multilingual environment, with students learning four languages, helps them communicate across cultures and see the world from different perspectives. Through local and international competitions, projects and activities beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, take initiative and discover what they are capable of. Step by step, we help them build the confidence and independence to find their own path – and prepare them for a life without borders.
