About
Your page in The Bridge
For the schools, kindergartens and activity providers we write about: what the page about you says, how to correct it, where it is, and how to link to it if you would like to.
Every institution in this guide has a page or a row here whether it works with us or not, and every one of them links out to the institution's own site. That is nineteen schools, seven kindergartens and 86 providers of children's activities across twelve activity pages. Nothing on this page costs anything, and nothing here changes what we write.
What the page about you says
Everything on it comes from your own website and from public registers, and every fact carries the date we read it. Where you publish nothing on a point, the page says not published rather than guessing. The site is written in English, Russian and Serbian, and it is built so that answer engines — the assistants families now ask before they search — can read and quote it.
What the page never does: it does not print your prices, even where you publish them; it records whether you publish a schedule and what the fee covers. For activity providers it also leaves out timetables and term dates, which change every term. And it never presents a currency conversion as a published fee.
How to correct it
Write to hello@thebridgebelgrade.com. We correct the page the same day and note the date of the correction on it. This applies to every institution in exactly the same way, whether or not it has ever spoken to us, and a correction is never conditional on anything.
Where a page carries open questions — things your own site does not answer — your reply is published in your own words, with the date we asked. Those answers are what make a page here better than any directory covering this city from a distance.
Where your page is
- Schools have a profile of their own: find yours in
the list of international schools in Belgrade. The address ends in
the school's name, for example
/school-brook-hill-international-school. - Kindergartens have a profile too: see
kindergartens and preschools. The address begins
/kindergarten-. - Activity providers — swimming schools, music teachers, football
academies and the rest — appear as a row on the page for their activity, listed under
after-school activities. Each row has its
own address: the activity page, then
#and the provider's name in the address form, so a link lands on you and not on the table.
If we have written to you, the letter carries the exact address of your page or row.
The badge
If the page about you is useful, you are welcome to link to it, and there is a small badge you can use. It is free and asks nothing in return. It carries the month our facts were last checked, so it is a dated statement, not a seal of approval, and it changes nothing about what the page says. Two designs: Profiled in for a school or kindergarten with a page of its own, Listed in for a provider with a row on an activity page — a badge that claims more than we did is worth less than no badge. Each comes in a version for light and for dark backgrounds.
Paste this where the badge should appear, replacing the address in the first line with the address of your own page or row:
<a href="https://thebridgebelgrade.com/school-your-school">
<img src="https://thebridgebelgrade.com/images/badge/the-bridge-profiled.svg"
width="260" height="72"
alt="Profiled in The Bridge — independent guide to Belgrade international schools">
</a>
For a row on an activity page use the-bridge-listed.svg and the row's address; for a
dark background add -dark before .svg. The files may also be downloaded
and hosted on your own site.
Where a link helps most
A badge in a footer is the least useful place for a link, to you and to us. A sentence on a page families actually read is worth far more: a page of useful links for new families, an admissions FAQ, a “moving to Belgrade” page. One line in your own words — an independent guide to the city’s international schools, written by students — with the link on it, is the form we would choose ourselves.
To be plain about what we are not doing: we are not proposing a trade. Every page in this guide links to the institution it describes because that is how a guide should be built, and it did so before any letter was written. Whether you link back is entirely your decision, and the page about you reads the same either way.
The rules this page depends on
Placement in the guide is not for sale, no fact is removed or softened in exchange for anything, and student writing is never shown to an institution before publication. Some things can be bought — an extended profile, sponsorship of an issue, a clearly labelled piece — and none of them affects what is written. The full policy is on How we work with schools; how we handle an email address is in the privacy notice.
Questions families ask
Does linking to The Bridge change what our page says?
No. The page is built from your own site and public registers, and a link to it changes nothing on it. A correction does — write to us and the fact is fixed the same day.
Is the badge really free?
Yes, with nothing attached. It carries the month our facts were last checked, so it is a dated statement rather than a seal, and you may remove it at any time.
Can we have our page removed?
No. Every international school, kindergarten and activity provider we could find in Belgrade is here, because a guide that leaves institutions out is a storefront. What we can do, without conditions, is correct anything that is wrong.
We publish our prices. Why does the page not show them?
We record that you publish a schedule and what the fee covers, and we do not reproduce the figures: a number we have not confirmed with you and cannot date is not one a family should rely on. Your own fee page is linked from the profile.
