When I first thought about creating The Bridge, I kept coming back to one question: why should students living and studying in the same city feel like they belong to completely separate communities?

Belgrade has an incredible international student community. We come from different countries, attend different schools, speak different languages and have different experiences. Yet we have so much to learn from one another.

I created The Bridge to bring those worlds closer together.

I wanted a place where students could discover what is happening beyond their own school. Where we could exchange ideas, share advice, celebrate achievements, recommend things we genuinely love, and tell stories others might recognise themselves in.

I also wanted The Bridge to make student life more exciting. Something you open because you’re curious. Something that introduces you to an idea, opportunity or person you might never have discovered otherwise.

This magazine is starting small, and I don’t know exactly what it will become yet. That’s part of what makes it exciting. My hope is that, as more students contribute their voices, The Bridge becomes something that belongs not to one school, but to all of us.
