What this site records about the people who read it – which is very little – and where to write if you want to know more.
The Bridge sets no cookies, asks for no account and records nothing that could be tied to you as a person – unless you choose to write to us (subscribing to the newsletter is exactly that: a letter to us) or to apply for an opportunity through our form. What follows is the full list of what does get processed when you read a page, and by whom.
What is processed, and by whom
What we do not do
We set no cookies of our own. There are no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting scripts and no social-media buttons that report back to their networks. There are no accounts to create. Choosing a language is a link to a different page, not a preference stored in your browser. We do not sell, rent or share information about readers with schools or anyone else – a school that works with us learns nothing about who read its profile.
Serving the pages – Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver a page and to protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes the technical data of each request – your IP address, the address requested, the type of browser – as every web server does, and keeps it in its own logs under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not keep server logs of our own and have no access to per-visitor records.
Counting readers – Cloudflare Web Analytics
To know how many people read which pages we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and stores nothing in your browser; what we see are totals – page views, countries, the sites that linked to us – never an individual reader or a path through the site. How it works.
Typefaces
The typefaces are served from this site itself, so fetching them sends nothing to anyone else. Apart from Cloudflare's, no third-party resource is loaded.
If you write to us
Our address is hello@thebridgebelgrade.com. We keep correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with it, and, when it concerns a correction to something we published, as the record of that correction. Writing to us does not put you on any list.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
You type your address into the field and press the button; the page then opens your own mail app with a one-line request to hello@thebridgebelgrade.com, your address already in it. The site itself sends nothing anywhere and stores nothing: the address travels only inside the email you choose to send. We keep it in our mailbox, under a label for the newsletter, and use it for one email per issue and for nothing else – it is not shared, sold or combined with anything. Reply “stop” to any issue, or write to us at any time, and the address is deleted.
If you apply for an opportunity
Each opportunity in our Opportunities section has an application form. When you send it, The Bridge receives what you typed: your name and surname, age, school and email address, the name and email address of a parent or guardian if you are under 18, and anything you write in the note. Nothing is collected until you send the form, and nothing else about you is recorded with it. The application is stored by the service that runs our forms (a Cloudflare Worker, under Cloudflare's privacy policy) and read only by the people who run The Bridge.
We use it for one purpose: to pass it to the organiser of that opportunity, named on its page – for EDUfair Belgrade 2026, IntegralEdu – who confirms places and, if you are under 18, asks your parent or guardian for the written consent volunteering requires. It is not shared with anyone else, not sold and not added to the newsletter. The organiser's copy is under the organiser's own privacy rules. We keep applications as The Bridge's record of the students it has put in touch with an opportunity, until you ask us to delete yours: write to hello@thebridgebelgrade.com and it is deleted. Sending the form is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us. To stop automated abuse, the internet (IP) address a form is sent from is kept for ten minutes to count how many forms it sends, and then forgotten.
Links to other sites
Every school profile links to the school's own website and to the public registers we read. Once you follow a link, that site's rules apply, not ours.
Your rights
Under Serbia's Law on Personal Data Protection and, for readers in the European Union, the GDPR, you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Write to the address above; because we hold nothing beyond correspondence you sent us and any application you made through our form, the answer is usually short. You may also complain to the Serbian Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
Younger readers
Some of our readers, and our writers, are school students. The only place this site asks for a name or an age is the application form on an opportunity's page, which a student fills in to apply. It accepts applicants aged 15 and over and, for anyone under 18, also asks for a parent or guardian, whom the organiser contacts for written consent. Nothing else on the site asks who you are.
Changes to this notice
This notice was last read through against what the site actually does on 2 October 2026, when the application form for opportunities was added. If the site starts processing anything else, this page will say so before it happens, with the date.
