What this site records about the people who read it — which is very little — and where to write if you want to know more.
The Bridge sets no cookies, asks for no account and, unless you choose to write to us (and subscribing to the newsletter is exactly that: a letter to us), records nothing that could be tied to you as a person. What follows is the full list of what does get processed when you read a page, and by whom.
What is processed, and by whom
What we do not do
We set no cookies of our own. There are no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting scripts and no social-media buttons that report back to their networks. There are no accounts to create. Choosing a language is a link to a different page, not a preference stored in your browser. We do not sell, rent or share information about readers with schools or anyone else — a school that works with us learns nothing about who read its profile.
Serving the pages — Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver a page and to protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes the technical data of each request — your IP address, the address requested, the type of browser — as every web server does, and keeps it in its own logs under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not keep server logs of our own and have no access to per-visitor records.
Counting readers — Cloudflare Web Analytics
To know how many people read which pages we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and stores nothing in your browser; what we see are totals — page views, countries, the sites that linked to us — never an individual reader or a path through the site. How it works.
Typefaces — Google Fonts
The pages use typefaces served by Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, Google receives that request, including your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. No other third-party resource is loaded.
If you write to us
Our address is hello@thebridgebelgrade.com. We keep correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with it, and, when it concerns a correction to something we published, as the record of that correction. Writing to us does not put you on any list.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
The subscribe button opens your own mail app with a one-line request to hello@thebridgebelgrade.com; nothing is entered or stored on the site. We keep the address in our mailbox, under a label for the newsletter, and use it for one email per issue and for nothing else — it is not shared, sold or combined with anything. Reply “stop” to any issue, or write to us at any time, and the address is deleted.
Links to other sites
Every school profile links to the school's own website and to the public registers we read. Once you follow a link, that site's rules apply, not ours.
Your rights
Under Serbia's Law on Personal Data Protection and, for readers in the European Union, the GDPR, you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Write to the address above; because we hold nothing beyond correspondence you sent us, the answer is usually short. You may also complain to the Serbian Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
Younger readers
Some of our readers, and our writers, are school students. Nothing on this site asks for a name, an age or an identity, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone.
Changes to this notice
This notice was last read through against what the site actually does on 3 September 2026. If the site starts processing something new — a form that stores something here, say — this page will say so before it happens, with the date.
