The school's own preschool page states the maternelle takes children “from two and a half to six years” and that a child must be potty-trained to be admitted. The maternelle is the first stage of the French national system, not a crèche – it is taught, graded and ends with Grande Section. Source: the school's own page, read 25 August 2026.
512 is the school's own figure in its School Spotlight text, approved on 23 September 2026. Its website gave 520 when read on 25 August 2026, and the AEFE record gives 506, likely from different census dates.

Before school age
EFB takes children from 2.5 into its maternelle. The maternelle takes children “from two and a half to six years” and is the first taught, graded stage of the French national system.
It appears alongside the standalone kindergartens on our kindergartens and preschools page, which is the one place in this guide where both kinds of answer sit together.
After school
EFB publishes thirteen activities on its own site – music, ballet, pilates, cooking, homework help, visual arts, drama, pottery… Their page is the current list; ours is dated.
These sit alongside the city's own clubs on our after-school activities page, which is the only place the two are listed together.
What the fee covers
EFB publishes a full fee schedule by year group. We do not reproduce fee figures; the school's own page is the source, so what follows is the structure of the cost rather than the amounts.
Inside the fee. Insurance.
Billed on top. Canteen; Garderie; Extracurricular activities; School supplies; Examination fees.
Separate charges that exist. Canteen, 4 days a week (per trimester T1/T2/T3); Canteen, 5 days a week (per trimester); School supplies; Exam fee, 3e (DNB); Exam fee, 1ère; Exam fee, Terminale (baccalauréat).
One-off charges. First registration, per child; Re-registration, first child; Re-registration, second and subsequent.
Discounts. 5% for payment of the full annual fee before 29 August 2026.
Not addressed anywhere public: School bus.
The school's own fee page: efb.rs, checked 24 August 2026.
Getting in
Deadline-based – there is a fixed application window.
Deadlines. For 2026/27, pre-registration for new students opened on 9 February 2026 and re-enrolment on 9 March 2026, both via the Eduka portal; the window opens in early February each year.
Testing. Children arriving from a non-French system sit a placement test. Children transferring within the French or AEFE network do not.
Nationality. No nationality requirement.
Accreditation
| Body | Status | How we treat it |
|---|---|---|
| French Ministry of Education (homologation) | homologué since 4 March 1986, covering all 15 levels PS to Terminale | school's own page |
| AEFE | conventionné | school's own page |
| Serbian Ministry of Education | recognised as a foreign educational institution, November 2016 | school's own page |
- school's own page – Stated by the school on its own site, naming the body. We have not matched it on the body's own register.
What stands out
- Full AEFE homologation means a pupil can transfer into any French or AEFE school worldwide without an entrance exam
- Publishes its examination fees as itemised amounts – the only school in this guide that does
- Six languages touched across the curriculum
What we are still checking
Open questions we could not settle from the school's own published pages. We have not yet put these questions to the schools. When we do, the answers will appear here with the date we asked.
- What PARLE stands for – the acronym is never expanded on the site
Know the answer to any of these, or spot something wrong? Write to hello@thebridgebelgrade.com and we will correct the page and note when we did.
