There is no standard figure, and the reason is worth knowing before you start comparing. 5 of the 14 international schools in Belgrade publish a fee schedule; the other 9 release figures at an interview or by email. And the schools that do publish are not charging for the same thing. One school's fee covers lunch, uniform, textbooks, health cover and trips; another's covers teaching and nothing else, with lunch billed daily by an outside caterer. Comparing two Belgrade schools on tuition alone tells you almost nothing. This page sets out what each school's fee actually contains, which one-off charges exist, and exactly what to ask for in writing.
Why there are no figures on this page yet. Several schools publish fee schedules on their own sites, and we have read them. We have chosen not to reproduce them until we have confirmed each one directly with the school and asked whether it is happy for us to publish — and we have not started that yet. Figures copied from directories without that step are how most of the wrong numbers about Belgrade schools got into circulation. When a school confirms, its figures will appear here with the date. In the meantime this page compares what each fee contains, which is the part no one publishes and which changes the total more than the headline does.
Which schools publish a fee, and which do not
This table is itself a finding. In most cities a fee schedule is a public document. In Belgrade it usually is not, which means a family cannot build a shortlist from websites and has to spend an interview on pricing. Knowing that in advance changes how you plan the search.
What each fee actually contains
“Not stated” means the school does not address it anywhere public — which is not the same as “extra”, and is a good question for an interview. Schools missing from this table publish nothing at all about what their fee contains. It matters more than the headline number: a fee that includes lunch, uniform, books and examination entry is doing far more work than one that does not.
School by school: the cost lines that exist

A directory publishes an annual tuition range for BIS on a profile the school does not manage, with no academic year stated. The school's own position is that fees are given to families directly, so we do not reproduce that range.
Inside the fee. Cambridge-endorsed textbooks and teaching resources; School counsellor across all divisions; Indoor swimming and sports; Regular field trips.
Discounts. Sibling tuition discount, percentage not stated; Need-based or merit-based support may be available.

Billed on top. Meals — the school's own FAQ states meals are not included; a catering service offers a hot meal at a monthly menu; Transport, arranged and charged directly with the provider.

A directory publishes an annual tuition figure for EDUCA that is implausibly low by two orders of magnitude and appears to be a data error. We do not reproduce it.

The school states on its own site that it is IB World School no. 062142, authorised for the IB Diploma Programme. On 24 August 2026 that school number did not resolve on the IB's own register, and the school did not appear in the IB's programme finder for Serbia, which returned six schools. The school's Serbian-language fee page names only the Cambridge programme. We have not yet put this to the school. When we do, we will publish its answer here alongside the date we asked. Until then we describe the school as Cambridge, which is what its own fee page says, and we make no claim about why the register and the site differ.

There is a separate International School Crnjanski in Jagodina, at crnjanski.rs. It is a different institution from the Belgrade Obrazovni sistem „Crnjanski“ at crnjanski.edu.rs.

PRIMA's site names Yale, Harvard, Boston University and New York University in the context of how A Levels are recognised generally. It is not a list of where PRIMA leavers have gone, and we have not been able to find one.

The six lines to ask for in writing
Ask for these six lines in writing, from every school, before you compare any two of
them. They are where two identical-looking fees stop being identical.
- The full schedule by year group, for the current school year — not a range.
- Every one-off charge. Application, registration, enrolment, deposit, and any
capital or development levy. At some Belgrade schools the first year costs materially more than
every year after it; at others there is no joining charge at all.
- What the fee excludes. Ask for exclusions, not inclusions — a school will
list what it includes without prompting, and the omissions are the point.
- Examination entry. IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma entry is a real cost and
only two Belgrade schools state publicly that it is covered. This one arrives in Year 10 and
surprises people.
- The bus, for your street. Not whether a service exists — whether it covers
where you will live. At least one school creates a route only when enough pupils live in the same
area, so the honest answer may depend on other families.
- Discounts and payment plans. Sibling reductions are common and vary widely;
several schools discount for paying the year upfront; one charges a surcharge for paying monthly.
None of this is on any directory.
Ask all six of every school on your list, so you are comparing the same things.
Questions families ask
How much does an international school in Belgrade cost?
Belgrade has no standard fee and only six of its international schools publish one. More importantly, the schools are not charging for the same thing: some fees include lunch, uniform, textbooks and examination entry, others cover teaching alone. Ask each school for its full schedule in writing together with its exclusions, and compare those, not the headline.
Why do so many Belgrade international schools not publish fees?
Most of them release figures only at an interview or by email: PRIMA, the British International School, Brook Hill, Westbridge, EDUCA, Green School by Chartwell, Crnjanski, IPS and Chartwell itself. Nothing in Serbian law requires publication. The practical effect is that you cannot build a shortlist from websites, and should ask for schedules in writing early rather than spending an interview on pricing.
What is not included in international school fees in Belgrade?
Most often the school bus, lunch, uniform, examination entry and trips — but the pattern varies more here than in most cities. PRIMA includes lunch, books and Cambridge examination fees. Ruđer Bošković includes lunch and uniform. Chartwell excludes meals. The École française charges separately for canteen, school supplies and each examination. Always ask for exclusions.
Are there sibling discounts at Belgrade international schools?
Commonly, and they vary a great deal. Deutsche Schule reduces for a second and third child, Crnjanski and Chartwell for a second and third, and International School Savremena runs the steepest scale in the city, reducing for the second and third child and waiving the fee for a fourth where enrolments overlap. Several schools also discount for paying the year upfront. No directory covers any of this.
Which international school in Belgrade is cheapest?
Cheapest on tuition is not cheapest overall, which is why we do not rank on price. A fee that includes lunch, uniform, textbooks and examination entry can cost less across a year than a lower fee that includes none of them. Work out the total for your child's year group at each school, including the bus for your street, and compare those.
